The Rotary Club of Walton-on-Thames

Who are we?

The Rotary Club of Walton-on-Thames is a group of men and women who meet socially once a week and seek to contribute to the community life. They share an evening meal, listen to a speaker and discuss local issues.

It is an enjoyable interlulde in the week’s routine. But it also offers members an opportunity to assist others.

Rotarians (as they call themselves) value this personal and business networking as it helps them raise money and offer financial or practical help to those in the area (and sometimes beyond) who need or request it.

The club is affiliated to the global Rotary International network. It is non-sectarian and non-political. Members are drawn from all walks of life, working or retired so whatever your age, it doesn’t matter.

We are like minded people seeking to enhance the quality and meaning of life outside of the workplace and outside of the home.

Some of us are local people by birth, though in a mobile age not all of us live or work strictly within the area. But we all want to help keep the community one of which we can be proud.

Our club is the only Rotary Club in the Borough of Elmbridge.

Our Aims

To make friends and encourage members to lead an enjoyable social life.

To extend a helping hand to others in the community and beyond who need financial or practical assistance.

By using the Rotary International network to encourage understanding and goodwill.

To make our area a happier and more prosperous place by promoting business and personal links.

To live up to the century-old Rotary maxim…:

“Service Above Self”
